not a total beginner. In the past 20-30 years
I have rebuilt a '62 Gibson SG to a black laquer
finish from the original red cherry, a Fender
'65 'bar stock' Strat from a totally messed
up black something to a hand rubbed tung oil
finish, and a '64 Hagstrom bass from a roller
painted with green and orange house paint to
black gloss.
ALL of these projects
