PAINT YOUR OWN GUITAR TESTIMONIALS - LOU DRUCKER

It’s not often that an opportunity comes along that could make a huge impact on your life. I came across “HOW TO Paint Your Very Own 5150” and bought the e-book immediately. After reading through the well written pages and watching the video links, I purchased an alder body and maple banana neck from a guitar supplier and got all the materials that John (the author) mentioned……Then, I read the book again, and again.

I realized that nothing was left to chance - nothing was left out. This was a true step-by-step guide that was easy-to-follow and understand. I remember saying to myself, “Hey, I can do this!” Granted, I had done some spraying and woodworking in the past, but never on a guitar. I’ll never forget gently pulling back my first tape strip and seeing the crisp lines underneath. Putting on the black lines was genius! I always wondered how that was done.

Another really cool part was how John explained how to fix bleed-through’s with an X-Acto knife. My wife was ready to kill me after an hour of “chip, chip, chip.” I actually had a great time… watching TV, with the guitar on my lap, making any overlap bleed area disappear.

To make a long story shorter, I was the proud owner of my own piece of artwork that I made for half price, thanks to John!

A flood of ideas rushed in for my next guitar project. 2 years later, I have an awesome collection of 25 painted guitars. Each axe is one of a kind. Onstage, with the lights shining down, I’m always the center of attention as people are blown away by the Holo and Mega Flash guitars I often play. My guitars are a part of me…like my kids…If I’m wearing a yellow hat, I reach for my yellow guitar…

I just purchased John’s new video, Wicked Airbrush - Project U.S. Flamed Flag. Again, a well thought out and informative journey into the world of airbrushing. He explains all of the necessary paints, materials, gun settings and even how to use shading to make your work look like a pro.

I want to give John a big thumbs’ up for creating one of the most important and enjoyable guitar painting “how to” series on the market today. I totally encourage anyone who is looking for a rewarding hobby or business, to check out any of John’s e-books or video. You will catch the fever, just like I did!
Many thanks, Lou -- BizzareGuitars.com
